Age Limit
Date of Birth must be between July 1, 2004 and December 31, 2006 (both dates inclusive). Age at the time of recruitment should be between 17.5 to 21.5 years.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed Class 10th (High School) from any recognized board in India.
Musical Eligibility
Candidates must have practical proficiency in at least one Indian or foreign musical instrument along with strong aural aptitude including accuracy in pitch, tempo and tune recognition. The ability to sing one complete song correctly is also required.
Instrument proficiency must include:
- Tuning of the instrument
- Matching unknown notes on the instrument
- Performance of a prepared piece
- Sight reading of Indian Classical / Tabulature / Staff Notation
- Performance of Scale, Raga and Tala
- Basic theory of Indian or International music
Musical Experience Certificate
- Candidates performing Hindustani or Carnatic Classical music on Wind Instruments must submit a certificate from any recognized musical institute or organization of repute.
- Candidates performing Western Notation or Western music on Wind Instruments must submit a minimum Initial Grade certificate from an international board such as Trinity College of Music, London or Royal School of Music, London.
- All other candidates must submit certificates of participation or awards received at various music events.

Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100/- (Level-3) during the 4-year Agniveer service period.
